Dezeen has revealed the 80-strong longlisted for this year’s Dezeen Awards<\/a> sustainability categories, including designs by Carmody Groarke<\/a>, Sancal<\/a> and SOM<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n The 80 longlisted projects, which are in the running to be crowned winners across five different sustainability project categories, are by studios located in 27 different countries spanning Kazakhstan<\/a>, Panama<\/a>, Taiwan<\/a> and Germany<\/a>.<\/p>\n The top project city locations are London<\/a> which leads with 15 longlisted entries, then Tokyo<\/a> and New York<\/a> both with five, followed by Melbourne<\/a>, Honolulu<\/a> and Bengaluru<\/a> each with two.<\/p>\n The longlists include an elongated extension to a 1970s terrace<\/a> in London, a minimalist store clad with tactile bars of soap<\/a> also in London and the first hotel in the USA claimed to be carbon-positive<\/a> in Denver.<\/p>\n All Dezeen Awards 2025 longlists revealed this week<\/strong><\/p>\n Dezeen Awards 2025, in partnership with Bentley<\/a>, revealed all longlisted projects this week. The architecture, interiors and design longlists were announced earlier this week.<\/p>\n “The calibre of this year’s sustainability longlist demonstrates groundbreaking and material-driven solutions that are pushing the industry towards a more sustainable world,” said Bentley head of lifestyle design Ben Saltmer.<\/p>\n “Longlisted projects showcase pioneering techniques, from biotechnology to plant-based enterprises, that address global challenges around material waste.”<\/p>\n Longlisted projects have been selected from over 4,300 entries from 89 countries across six continents for the eighth edition of our awards programmes, which continue to celebrate the individuals and studios producing the most outstanding architecture, interiors and design projects from around the globe.<\/p>\n The next stage of Dezeen Awards 2025 will see all longlisted projects assessed by our prestigious panel of international judges including Natsai Audrey Chieza<\/a>, Anna Heringer<\/a> and Samira Rathod<\/a>.<\/p>\n Our 60 judges<\/a> will determine the projects that feature on the shortlists, which will be announced in October. A further round of judging by our master jury will determine the winners of the interiors project categories, Bentley Lighthouse Award, as well as the overall design project of the year.<\/p>\n Dezeen Awards 2025 party tickets on sale next week<\/strong><\/p>\n Winners will be announced at the annual Dezeen Awards party in London on 25 November.
